<description>If Rick Snyder could not keep Gateway Computer jobs in the US how is he suppose to keep jobs in Michigan?
Why would I vote for a Republican candidate who has never worked a government job? I don`t hire a plumber to fix my car.

<description>does my landlord need a key?
we moved in a rental apartment with good locks on the front door, and a duck taped lock on the back. we moved in 5 months ago and the back door lock is finally getting fixed tomorrow by maintenance man that is paying with his own money cause landlord wont fix it.

we had a leasing manager break into our apt (crawl through our bedroom window) claiming she thought it was an empty apartment that she needed to show and forgot her keys. and we have had a handful of random ppl, so claimed electricians, maintenance men, plumbers etc just show up and say they are going to fix something then just look at something, say they coming back to fix it, and never do???)

so anyways, 5 months later, the crazy negligent landlord decides to start harassing me, showing up banging on my door for a week straight at 8 in the morning, then blowing my phone up, when i call him back he yells and screams about me not answering my phone, well ill get to the point,
he all of a sudden wants to change the locks on the apartment because he doesn&#039;t have a key. when we moved in, he didn&#039;t have a key. we were provided one key, and i had to make a copy for husband. nothing in the lease says anything about him needing a key or changing door locks, nothing.

i live in Michigan, trying to figure out if i should let him have a key with random ppl showing up at my door and breaking in my windows supposedly working under him with access to a key to our home!
my lease says NOTHING about him having a right to a key or anything.
we were provided ONE key upon move in, which i PERSONALLY had to make copy for husband.

if lease says nothing does he even need one, and wtf my back door didnt even have a lock on it for 5 months and hes so concerned with the front doors...

its a big slum! landlord a prick, he has tiny man syndrome. (hes a tiny man so tries to act all tough and intimidating)

		<description>History of Grand Rapids, MI?
Did they raise the elevation of the city of Grand Rapids, MI after a flood (1904 I assume). I can find a lot of information about this flood but no mention of raising the elevation of the city.

I ask this because I have worked in a few basements in the city (I&#039;m a plumber), and have noticed that some of the basement have what appears to be main entryways in the basements. My boss told me this was because the basement used to be the first floor. He told me they had raised most of the city to deter another flood.

Anybody know anything??

<description>Can you rent out a home that has 15+ code violations (michigan)?
Being new to renting a home I did not know to ask for a certificate of occupancy or paperwork stating that the home was up to code. I was having a lot of trouble with the plumbing in the home since i moved in and have called my landlord on several occasions to have him fix this. The other day I called the city and had them look up my address to see when it was inspected. He had it inspected and had at least 15 code violations and had until July 12th to fix them. He did not fix any of them. (these include plumbing, and electrical) I unfortunately did not send him requests in writing to fix these things. I have witheld his rent and he has decided to evict me. I have his money and will be placing it in escrow tomorrow. I spoke to him and asked about the violations and he began yelling at me to just move out. I told him no, your money will be in escrow and i want to go to court. he then told me taht he doesn&#039;t need a tenant like me who calls every month about the plumbing being bad and that i&#039;m just using it as an excuse not to pay. Any advice?

<description>Is there a good, affordable handyman, electrician, or electrical contractor in Southfield michigan?
Hello Yahoo friends, I recently purchased a nice foreclosure in the city of Southfield Michigan. Now I need to locate a good, affordable handyman, electrician, or electrical contractor that I can trust to perform a good job. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thank you.
